Kerala is facing massive flood triggered by heavy monsoon rains have claimed near 400 lives in Kerala since August 8 and displaced over 7.14 Lac people from their homes. In aid, Government of Rajasthan announced relief fund of INR 10 Crores. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje released this fund from ‘Mukhyamantri Sahayata Kosh’ on Saturday. CM Raje expressed her grief for flood affected lives and said, ‘Rajasthan government is standing by the Kerala people in this tough moment. We are pledge to help Kerala for any kind of aid.’ The aid amount has been sent to Kerala.
Assembly Officers to Donate Salary
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Assembly officers and Secretariat Bureaucrats declared to donate their one day salary for aid to Kerala. Assembly Chairman Kailash Meghwal appealed to officers and Bureaucrats day before. Assembly Secretary Dinesh Kumar said that the officers willingly decided to donate their salary to Kerala flood aid.
Kerala is suffering the worst flood disaster of last 50 years. Even the central government declare this a ‘severe calamity’. The disaster has taken near 400 lives and displaced Lacs of people in state. But it is a relief to see that Indian states are united over this disaster to help flood affected people by sending aid accordingly. Many government and social organization has started campaign for donation.
