ashok-gehlot

Ashok Gehlot is feeling weaponless these days as his non-government days are getting heavier and arduous. Not to mention, the former chief minister is getting the taste of his own medicine and certainly he can’t help it. One by one, his confidants are getting arrested in and he fears of his time now.

During Gehlot’s tenure the Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA) faced hardships at extensive levels which left it with a loss of Rs. 250 crore. But, this seems just another story of Gehlot times as he has many other blunders on his name. Shockingly, the audacious Gehlot had scrapped all the investigations conducted by the Anti- corruption Bureau and called it biased.

However, he could only suppress the truth as the arrest of the known Congress leader, Rajendra Solanki who is also a Gehlot’s confident explains it all. The accused was the chairperson of Jodhpur Development Authority during the time of Gehlot tenure. He has some serious charges of deception of Rs. 250 crore in the JDA.

In Obvious terms, Mr. Gehlot could not grasp the sudden outcomes of his ill-deeds which got two of his confidants arrested in a span of 4 months. Earlier it was, Jugal Kabra who is in locks because of his frauds in the Jodhpur University recruitment fraud. Now, it’s Solanki’s arrest which has proved to be mind bursting for Gehlot.

Like always, poor Gehlot could not appear with a strong defense remarks and is throwing hissy fits at CM Vasundhara Raje.

Jodhpur Scam Reality

SP Ajaypal Lamba extensively revealed the details of the case and mentioned that during previous year, four FIRs were registered related to JDA scams. Also, double tender was passed in the community building construction in the Adarsh Colony of Mansagar.

Apart from this, the 6500 meter long road construction in the Jhalamand’s Navdurga colony is also not untouched from the fraud demeanour of the Gehlot government. The project went under money laundering of around Rs. 1 Crore and 20 lakh.

On August 22, 2013, acceptance of completing 456 formerly accepted tasks was given. For this, a budget of Rs. 250.51 crore was passed. Here, came a stark coil when without any discussion and meeting it was increased from Rs. 250.51 crore to Rs. 357.91 crore.

Likewise, many passed budgets were tormented and money was stockpiled out of them. No matter how much he defends, Mr. Gehlot has thin chances to get himself out of the thunder storm he created.
