As per the reports, the first list of BJP candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections may be declared on November 11. The party official said that the list would present around 70 names.
Know what Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said about the meeting
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and convener of BJP state election management committee, said that BJP’s Parliamentary Board has the right to decide the candidates. He said that panels of all seats would be presented before the parliamentary board and the Board would decide on the final candidates from the lot.
He also commented on the rumours about rift in party over selection of seats. Discarding the rumours, Shekhawat said that there are no differences within the party over the selection of candidates on any seat. There is unity in party and all have aimed at winning the elections. There is only one candidate on all seats i.e. BJP‘s election symbol Kamal (lotus).
