The Congress won the assembly elections in hustle-bustle with a grace point (BSP support for one seat). Now the Lok Sabha elections is a major task and the Congress prepares to launch its propaganda for the LS elections through a ‘Kisan (farmers) rally’. Why propaganda? Here is the reason-
The Congress, which had drawn a blank in Rajasthan in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, is now not so confident about its success in the Lok Sabha elections in April-May, too. They may have waived the loan to keep party President Rahul Gandhi’s hasty and impulsive promise, but day-by-day they are failing to implement the waiver as banks and economists have been warning about financial damage to the country.
On the other hand, Farmers in Punjab warn Congress government, led by Captain Amarinder Singh, for agitation if they do not waive off their loans. Congress has been governing Punjab state for more than a year, but no loan waiver for the agri-producer state. They have to throw their agri-products on highways when no procurement by the government.
In spite of all these farm concerns and agitation warning, the Congress President Mr Gandhi plans to hold a Farmers Rally in Rajasthan and the other state in demand of farm loan waiver from central government. The grand old party had ruled the country for more than 50 years. The question is why farm loan waiver is being hyped in these recent years? Or the term- ‘Farm loan waiver’ is recently introduced by the Urban Dictionary?
This hyped farm loan waiver by Congress is an unplanned decision by the novice President of the party to woo the voters. And now, the winning states’ chief ministers are trying to woo him…Or it’s the propaganda to win LS polls…by hook or by crook? We have no clue about this muddled mess.
BTW, Rahul Gandhi will kick off the rally, which is likely to be held next week though the venue was yet to be decided.
