disha committee meeting in Bikaner

A meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee ‘Disha’ took place in the Bikaner Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Union Minister of State for Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal. In the discussions, Meghwal asked all the officers to implement the centrally sponsored schemes with full severity, sensitivity, and transparency.

The minister said that the government intends to make all these schemes available to those who are eligible for the benefits. He said that authorities should prioritize matter of public representatives and instructed officers to conduct field visits. Furthermore, he said that the central government’s top priority is to deliver basic amenities like water, electricity, and roads in rural areas.

These discussions by Disha committee also included proposals sent under the National Rural Drinking Water Program, Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna, Chief Minister Declaration and Budget Declaration, Rural and Urban Gaurav Path.

The minister also talked about the patchwork of roads to be done as per the requirement. He also discussed the progress of road connectivity in rural areas with District Collector Anil Gupta.

Other officials who were present in the meeting include Nokha Pradhan Kanhaiyalal Siyag, Lunkarnasar Pradhan Govindram Godara, Khajuwala Pradhan Sarita Chauhan, Disha member Dillu Khan Kohri, Hethi Devi, Priyanka Chaudhary, Chief Executive Officer Ajit Singh Rajawat, Additional Chief Executive officer Narendra Singh Purohit, and others.
