Rajasthan Government has planned to build a Desert Park in Kishan Bagh area spread over 320 acres of Vidhyadhar Nagar in Jaipur. On the lines of Jaisalmer Desert Safari, Kishan Bagh Desert Park is one of the dream projects of CM Vasundhara Raje. Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has spent INR 8 Crores to construct this Desert Park and the aim is to develop it as first of its kind in the country and even in the world. Around 18 types of trees and different types of soil have been brought from the different districts across the state to make a unique ecosystem in the Desert Park. In addition, developing a Green Valley, a jogging track is also being constructed across the Desert Park.

What makes Kishan Bagh Desert Park special?

The Park is being planned by architect Pradeep Kishan, who is also an environmentalist. The soil and trees are being brought from different districts- Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Sirohi, and Banswara among others are being planted and grown in the different nurseries of the city. The Desert Park is going to be inaugurated soon and subsequently, the park will be opened for the visitors.
