CM Vasundhara Raje launched Bhamashah Digital Parivar Yojana on Tuesday during beneficiary meet at Amroodon ka Bagh in Jaipur. Government of Rajasthan will fund the smart phones for 1000 families who are eligible for NFSA in the state. Under the scheme, Rajasthan Government will provide fund of Rs. 1 Crore. Each family will get Rs. 1000 in two installments. First installment for buying smart phone and the second one will be for internet recharge.
The Government of Rajasthan aims to provide digital access to Bhamashah Scheme benefits through Bhamashah Digital Parivar Yojana. Family, who comes under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), can buy the smart phone worth Rs. 501. Hence the scheme makes underprivileged family a ‘Digital Parivar’.
Subsidized smart phone in Bhamashah Digital Parivar Yojana
CM Vasundhara has already announced about subsidized smart phone worth Rs. 501 for Bhamashah Beneficiary. Rajasthan Government has planned to provide this subsidized phone for the people from remote villages. Soon, the camps will be held in all the constituencies to avail the Reliance Jio smart phone for public.
The government recognized 1000 families under NFSA, who also live in remote villages and do not have access to mobile phones. Department of IT & Communication order the state collectors to work towards this vision of CM Raje. Raje Government’s initiative will definitely bring a wide smile on these faces.
