CM Raje announcements in Dholpur

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje made several announcements regarding development projects and government’s plan to spend Crores on such ventures. While addressing a gathering in Manera, the minister announced that a total of INR 2,300 Crores is going to be spent on the construction of 14,100 kms of road in the state in the next 1 year.

She also laid the foundation for Dholpur lift irrigation project and announced other works worth INR 1220 Crores. This project is likely to solve the problem of water supply in 234 villages in Rajakhera and Sempau blocks. This lift irrigation project is going to be India’s first irrigation project which will have 1600 km long pipeline network. The project is worth INR 852 Crores and will be completed by 2020.

Another one is the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project worth INR 37,000 Crores for which the DPR has been sent to the center for approval. Under this, the rivers like Parvati, Kalisindh, Chakan, and Mej will be interlinked to solve the issue of water scarcity and irrigation in 13 districts of the state.

CM Raje said that 40 bulk mil coolers each having 1000 liters capacity will be provided to the self-help women groups and it is expected to benefit 25,000 women. Other development projects include the construction of a hotel management institute at an incurred cost of INR 9 Crores and Ambedkar Park that will be constructed on more than 1 hectare of land in Dholpur.

Other dignitaries present at the occasion include State Health Minister Kalicharan Saraf, Power Minister Pushpendra Singh, Transport Minister Yunus Khan, and Water Resources Minister Dr. Ram Pratap.
