At Jhalawar, CM of Rajasthan along with central minister Jhawar Chand Gehlot will distribute physical aids for senior citizens belonging to BPL category under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana. They will also distribute assisted-living devices to persons of disabilities under ADIP.
CM Raje will reach Jhalawar by helicopter around 5 PM on Saturday 16 September while central minister Gehlot will come by train on 17 September, Sunday. Smt Raje will also meet workers of Post office, said BJP district chief Jhalawar Sanjay Jain Tau. Tomorrow, Smt Raje will distribute the equipments to approximately 3000 old citizens under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojna.
On 1st April, 2017, ‘Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana’, a scheme for providing Physical Aids and Assisted-living Devices for Senior citizens belonging to BPL category’ was launched in District Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The districts of Rajasthan where this scheme will be implemented are Jhalawar and Bikaner.
Under this scheme, the aids and assisted-living devices will be provided to eligible elderly beneficiary senior citizens, depending upon their physical impairment are spectacles, walking sticks, elbow crutches, walkers/crutches, tripods/quadpods, hearing aids, wheelchair, artificial dentures.
This scheme will be implemented through the sole implementing agency ‘Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation’ which will undertake one year free maintenance of aids and assisted living devices. The physical aids and assisted-living devices for senior citizens will be distributed in camp mode. Almost, 30% of the beneficiaries in each district shall be women.
For this scheme, Shri Thawar Chand Gehlot, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment said that the devices will help senior citizens to overcome their age related physical impairment and to lead a dignified and productive life with minimal dependence on care givers or other members of the family.
Stating the whole schedule of 17 September of these ministers in Jhalawar, Sanjay Singh Tau added that around 10:30 am they will clean Shahid Nirbhaya Singh statue and premise. The distribution of physical aids for senior citizens and assisted-living devices to persons of disabilities will take place at 11 am at National Sports Federation, Jhalawar.
MP Dushyant Singh, Smt Teena Bheel, MLA Manohar Thana Kanwar Lal Meena, MLA Dag Shri Ramchandra Sunariwal and many other dignitaries are to be part of this distribution event tomorrow. For assistance, team ALIMCO will be there. In fact, an assessment camp senior citizens under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojna was also held at Jhalawar.
After the plantation in the Sports Federation, the CM will head to Jaipur. Central minister Jhawar Chand Gehlot will stay in Rajasthan for some time as he has some other plans.
