bhamashah-scheme

Women are worshipped in our country as goddesses- Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati and many more. But respecting women or considering them strong was exceptional four years ago. Bharatiya Janta Party took a pledge to empower woman and fulfilled the promise. Now statics are the proof of development towards it.

Our Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje made sure that this scheme reaches to every deserving woman in the state. Bank accounts and Bhamashah Cards are being made in the name of the lady of the house that empowers her to be the decision- maker for the family, for effective use of all the cash and non-cash benefits.

The Bhamashah scheme envisaged by Bharatiya Janta Party in the year 2008 with this aim, even before Aadhar program was thought of, is the first of its kind direct benefit transfer scheme in the county.

This is what statics say

– More than 20.5 Lac women became beneficiaries by the Bhamashah Bank account.
– Government of Rajasthan deposited 2 thousand rupees in every BPL woman’s account in two installments.
– Not only women, state people benefitted with more than 20 thousand crore rupees through other 34 welfare schemes which are attached to the Bhamashah scheme.
– Total 35000 Bhamashah Centers have established in all over the state.

Corruption and hassle-free access to schemes

Gone are the days when beneficiaries couldn’t get their allotted cash or when someone else fraudulently extracted their money. Now Bhamashah Bank accounts and other welfare schemes can be accessed only by the owner through biometric identification.

In addition-

  • Beneficiaries can get updates about these schemes from Bhamashah app and from Right to Information as well.
  • This amount can be withdrawn from nearby Bhamashah Center.
  • Women can easily use their Bhamashah card like an ATM card or to get access to welfare schemes.
  • e-Mitra, bank accounts, ATMs and IT centers established in every locality in the state to help beneficiaries.

Our Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje boasts a vision-To build a better society, empowerment of every woman is imperative because empowerment of the woman is the empowerment of the society and thus the state. So the Government believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas’.
