Today was a day of pride for Jaipur which launched India’s first Command & Control Center which is literally smarter than the smartest patrolling center ever opened in India. It is an impeccable initiative in monitoring the patrolling system in the Desert state. The state of Rajasthan is treading on an unprecedented journey towards plummeting
Rightly named as Abhay, this police center justifies it’s name. Abhay means ‘Fearless’, and so is this first-of-its-kind control center. Abhay is a holistic and integrated surveillance & response management system comprising video surveillance, dial-100 control system, computer aided dispatch, intelligent traffic management system, cyber forensic investigation lab and data center in the seven divisional headquarters of the state viz. Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur.
The fact that it is the smartest police station has been substantially testified. This is a divisional command and Control centre, the notable features of which will speak for themselves. Take note, folks. This is really an incredible initiative pioneered in the country.
Few of the highlighted features of this center is:
- Realtime Monitoring of Calls with Analytics – It enables rapid phone tracking system, which tracks the location of the caller instantaneously.
- All communications in the call center recorded – All voice calls, without any filter will be recorded automatically for future references.
- Proactive Information Sending – This centre will enable quick information transmission to various other centres.
- Facilitate citizens after authentication (e.g.: OTP) to upload video feeds – Video feeds can be uploaded from various systems and sub-systems of public and private establishments. An OTP will be provided to each user to facilitate him/her to upload video feeds.
- Adhoc installation of cameras in fairs and festivals in the city – Rajasthan is a world-renowned hub of arts, culture and various festivals, which are essential for the grandeur which the state holds. To ensure that public’s safety is in tight hands, venues of these festivals will be high on alert.
- Integration of Women’s Helpline – A women helpline number called ‘1090’ has also been launched. This will strengthen women safety and emergency number.
- Integration of Emergency Responses System – It is a comprehensive system which will consider emergency calls on a holistic basis. The number for this facility is ‘112’.
- Automatic Vehicle Location System – It will automatically locate vehicles which will in turn reduce time for catching rightful offenders.
- Integration with e-Challan System – The e-Challan system which has been quite successful in the state, will now be interlinked with this patrolling center.
- Face Recognition Software – This software will enable smart detection of faces. It will enable fastracking the process of catching offenders.

This exceptional center, whose features are as many as you would want to count, it is soon to become a rage amongst the Jaipurites. This was launched by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje in the capital city, Jaipur. This was opened as a part of CM’s budget 2017-18 which was presented on November 8, 2017.
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, more is always less. The state of Rajasthan will soon witness a range of such police centers which hare uber smart and technologically operated. This incredible initiative will resultantly render a steep drop in the crime rate of Rajasthan. No wonder, if the state progress to the least crime-hit states in Rajasthan.
