The ambitious beautification project known by the name of ‘Dravyavati’ is speeding up its operations as the state government is pressing hard to complete the Dravyavati River project by July 2018.
In a constructive meeting held with the Tata representative, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has pitched for an earlier deadline. Due to CM Raje’s relentless efforts to expedite the process of ‘Dravyavati project’, the deadline has not been shifted from August to July.
Vinayak Deshpande, the MD of Tata projects will visit Jaipur monthly to monitor and supervise the project works.
What is Dravyavati project?
The Dravyavati project will not only ensure robust connectivity but also accentuate beauty around the Riddhi Siddhi and Mansarovar regions.
A six-lane bridge will be built over the Dravyavati river, thereby ensuring swift connectivity between the concerned areas, especially Mansarovar. It will ensure better connectivity via taxis and buses apart from benefitting daily commuters.
Dravyavati project: stats and figures
A sum of Rs 1,676 crore has been allocated for the Dravyavati project. Tata has completed 20% work and a sum of Rs 340 crores has already been spent on the project.
If sources are to be believed, ” A target of Rs 100 crore is to be met every month. For the same, the firm is required to submit a comprehensive plan.”
A rehabilitation project for almost 584 houses is posing a great challenge for the civic bodies who have been assigned the job of collecting consent letters from the house dwellers. Houses at a stretch of about 2.7 km between Hassanpura and Sushilpura are required to be rehabilitated at the earliest.
The Dravyavati project has been awarded to a consortium of Tata Projects and Shanghai Urban Construction Group.
