Moving aside the historic monuments and archeology excellences from the pivot role, the filmmakers of the Mayanagri are inclining more towards the unspotted destinations, especially in Rajasthan. We can see this shift happening in last year’s PK (Rajkumar Hirani Film). Leaving all other heritage sites behind, Kota is becoming an approachable spot for these movie shooters. They are not just covering the native lakes and other places but the Seven Wonders Park is the new location which has been used in recent Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, featuring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
The park showcases the tiny replicas of world’s seven wonders. These mini wonder monuments include, Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer statue, the statue of liberty, Egypt’s pyramids and Eiffel Tower.
The production crew itself talked about the research done by them before shooting there. The movie has many shots featuring Varun and Alia at Kota streets and wandering at common locations of the city.
The production had started the procedure last year when their crew members visited the city and clicked pictures. The common locations covered in the movie are Kishore Sagar Lake, jal Mandir temple and Umed Club and Janaki Devi Balaji Govt. Girls School road.
The sources which arrange for the junior artists in Kota are feeling hopeful for increasing number of shootings in the city. One of them, said, Kota is appearing as new film shooting spot for movie makers and after Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, they are expecting more of them.
The flair of exploring every nook and corner for the shooting is prevalent now. Unlike, previous times, they are not landing at some signature spots and do the shooting. The sources revealed that, recently, Milan Luthria, who is currently making shoots for “Baadshaho”, went deep into the rawness. Instead of just staying at Mehrangarh Fort, he explored the lanes and corners of the city.
Looks like, Rajasthan Tourism ad slogan, “Jaane Kya Dikh Jaaye”, have very well made a mark on thoughts of film shooters.
