From now on all government universities in Rajasthan will select and appoint their vice chancellors through advertisement says Kalyan Singh, Governor and Chancellor of Rajasthan.
It will be the first time any such selection method will be taken into use. Reason behind this decision is said to be the impartial transparency and limited interference of political which is required in such important appointments.
Up till now all the V-C’s were chosen on behalf of V-C Search Committee and its search.
