Rajasthan is transforming into a cleaner and greener state under the positive leadership of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje as she is completely committed and dedicated towards the development and prosperity of Rajasthan. This is the reason why all the state departments and authorities have also taken it upon themselves to work hard and introduce such schemes, which are not only welfare focused but also takes way ahead from other states in terms of technology and automation. This has been an outlook for all the sectors in the state including agriculture sector, education, women empowerment, etc.
For this, GRAM is also being conducted in the month of November from 9th to 11th November 2016, where more than 50,000 farmers from Rajasthan and neighboring states would gather to learn valuable techniques and methods for better cultivation of lands. It would be an international meet and experts from countries like Netherlands, Australia, and Israel, who are world leaders in sectors of agriculture, cultivation and dairy farming. They will educate Indian farmers about various techniques used by them to increase their production along with a better quality production.
It would be a three-day event held in the capital city Jaipur of Rajasthan. According to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which is also a partner for the event, Neelkamal Darbari, the Principal Secretary of Agriculture and Horticulture said, “The primary objective of GRAM is to ensure economic empowerment of the people through accelerated yet sustainable growth in agriculture and to double farmer’s income by 2022. A large number of suggestions and inputs were discussed to make the event a success.”
Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje is of the opinion that the technological advancements are essential to be introduced in the Agricultural sector so that Rajasthan can achieve number one position in the national and world market in the agricultural sector. Therefore, GRAM is organized to grab opportunities as Rajasthan is the only state with 10 agro-climatic zones. Also, experts are of the opinion that GRAM will double farmers income in the next 6 years by introducing the sector to prospective investors who are looking forward to investing in a high-yielding sector.
The next step is taken by the Department of Revenue and of Agriculture by launching a mobile app together to gather the crop information (Girdawari and crop-cutting experiments) in the state. It is said that the app would integrate Jamabandi (land records), and khata information in real-time to enable the patwaris in the entire state to come up with data entry on the run. As the department sources revealed, the app’s interface is easy to use and also reduces data typing to eliminate errors and spelling mistakes. The patwari is required to fill up primary data one time, which subsequently transfers to the system and transformed in multiple reports. The app will cut down the workload four-fold and will reduce paperwork.
It will also lead to high-end accurate reporting by the patwaris to support timely decision-making at the government level. Sources reveal that, till date, the initiatives have already been taken by the Department of Revenue by digitizing the maps and restructuring the jamabandi data, land mutation and already linked the record of Uniyara Tehsil of Tonk District. The state’s Revenue Department is in the last stages of rolling out the process in the entire state. To walk an extra mile on the development path, the department of agriculture and revenue department are also planning to use tablets for monitoring, information entry and applications.
Such kind of initiative have never been taken by any government before but CM Raje wants perfectly dedicated efforts for transforming Rajasthan.
