The renowned award-winning author Neil Gaiman known for his novels, comic books, audio theatre, and films, has revealed that he will be attending the Jaipur Literature Festival next year.
It’s one of the most popular literary events in India that is attended by reputed and world-famous authors, writers, poets, and other artists. Every year, thousands of book lovers and literature experts gather in Jaipur at this wonderful event and discussions are held on interesting topics.
Although it’s not clear who all are going to attend the fest in January 2019, apparently Neil has revealed that he will be there in the event. However, he disclosed it to a fan who expressed her wish to meet the author. As the fan requested Neil to come to India, he revealed that he is actually coming to Jaipur Literature Festival 2019.
Neil Gaiman’s famous works include The Sandman, The Graveyard Book, American Gods, and Neverwhere. Besides, his book The Ocean at the End of the Lane was voted Book of the Year by the British National Book Awards.
Talking about the 2018 edition, the 11th iteration of the fest was organized in Jaipur that saw a lot of renowned personalities like Anurag Kashyap, Nandita Das, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Tabla maestro Zakir Khan.
There was a session titled The Hit Man: Anurag Kashyap whereby the filmmaker talked about fighting the system through cinema and how he values the content of the movie over the star. Besides, actors Nawazuddin and Nandita Das attended a session where they talked about the biopic Manto. Besides, personalities like Vishal Bharadwaj and Mira Nair were also present at the event.
