Dishari app, an initiative of the Department of College Education, Government of Rajasthan which aims at providing educational content to the students, has achieved the milestone of 3 Million tests in just 6 months of its launch. The app was launched in November 2017 and currently, it has 1,11,000 registered users, including 45,000 college students.
Dishari has been developed by Imran Khan, a government teacher of Sanskrit. He developed the app as a part of the Dishari project that is directed towards empowering youth and enhancing their capacities. Through the app, thousands of students get access to free online coaching to prepare for competitive examinations. The app contains more than 16,000 questions in 10 subjects and online tests are conducted every evening. The questions are related to General Awareness, Current Affair, Science, Maths, Computer, Mental Ability, Reasoning, and Hindi.
After the online tests are conducted, a merit list is created and the students are told their scores. This helps them assess their standing and thus they get to prepare for their exams with more confidence. In addition to the tests, the Dishari app also gives information regarding vacancies and job alerts. There is also a video section for video tutorials that enable easy learning.
