This year’s Monsoon session is surprisingly active over the vast land of Rajasthan. With some areas been gifted with heavy showers for a continuous span of 24, some are greeting with pleasant drizzling for more than 24 hours.
Skymet Weather, the weather expert in its weekly report stated, “Fairly widespread light to moderate rains have been recorded across the state. These rains can be attributed to the several weather systems affecting the weather over Rajasthan.
The cyclonic circulation over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan continues to prevail over the region. While, the axis of Monsoon trough is also running through Phalodi.”
Apart from this, southern region of Rajasthan received pounding rains in the previous session and the current session of monsoon is covering North Rajasthan under its reign.
Sriganganagar presently recorded 91 mm of rain last 24 hours on Wednesday. It is to be noted that this is the highest rainfall recorded during the 24 hours in last 10 years. It has also covered the 90% of its monthly average rainfall of 99.2 mm.
Some parts of the state will witness heavy spells. Places like Kota, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Jhalawar will see rains of different intensity.
