Rajasthan Monsoon gets back with Heavy rainfall:
Rajasthan was blessed with heavy rains for three continuous days. But the rains have stopped and eastern parts of Rajasthan have attained the normal state weather wise. Areas of Dholpur, Karauli and Bharatpur received only minimal rainfall in the last 24 hours.
This is unlike the flood-like situation which literally captured the entire state. Evacuation of people was also done due to heavy rains. A lot of roadways, especially in the rural areas have been damaged due the excess water fall.
Gulab Chand Kataria, the Home Minister said, “The residents of eastern Rajasthan districts, who suffered collapse of houses, crops being damaged or cattle deaths, will get relief from the Disaster Relief Fund.”
Railway traffic along the Jaipur-Agra route had to be disturbed and even now the state government has asked the responsible departments to check whether previous regularity of trains can be continued with or not.
Rajasthan has received average rainfall of 222.99 mm up till now depicting a percentage increase of 49% from last year’s record.
