Science and technology opens the horizon of minds and make people think and accept things from a broader perspective. Due to new technologies and interventions, human life is evolving. Considering such factors, Rajasthan government is planning to bring boot clubs. This step will be taken to develop scientific temperament among school students and make them inclined towards science, technology and IT.
Which schools will be selected for Boot Clubs?
Boot Clubs will be opened in government schools by the department of science and technology. For this, 71 Vivekananda model schools have been chosen across the state of Rajasthan. The chosen schools will be located in backward blocks. These clubs will be funded by state budget.

To increase the interest in clubs, Boot clubs will be facilitated with microprocessor-based electric kit, censor kit and robotic kit. The students from 8th to 10th standard will be given these kits. In fact, 710 kits will be distributed in these schools. Later on, more kits will be distributed. To enable teachers to handle boot clubs, a special training session will be held. The training will enable teachers to use the kits and help them prepare students to innovate in the required fields.
How will these Boot clubs help children?
Boot clubs will develop interest in science and technology. Knowledge of technology will help these kids to set up their businesses in future. Even the students with an IT-based idea or start-up will be provided help by government said Kiran Maheshwari.
