This time it has made to news as Dungarpur Municipal Council has been selected by the popular Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for research. This foundation will research the works, innovations and cleanliness in the city done by Dungarpur Municipal Council.
What representatives of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation found in Dungarpur?
Representatives of the foundation inquired about the door to door garbage collection of the municipal council and the household waste from the people. Representatives of the Foundation found the wet and dry buckets in all the houses in Dungarpur.
Mr. K.K. Gupta, Chairman of Dungarpur Municipal Council credited this selection to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. He said that sanitation work in Rajasthan is being done as per the instructions of CM. It is a great news that the work of the municipal council is now being extended to foreign countries.

Along with Dungarpur Municipal Council of Rajasthan, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation of America has selected Pune, Trichy and Warangal bodies of the country. The foundation has selected 16 cities from all over the world to research on garbage collection, solid waste management and septic waste disposal.
