The mantra is the 21st-century avatar of Antyodaya- the idea propounded by Upadhyay back then. Today is Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s 102nd birth anniversary.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay was born on September 25, 1916, in the Nagala Chandraban in Mathura district of U.P. Pandit joined the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) during his college days and later worked as a full-time worker.

Later, when Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerji founded Bharatiya Jan Sangh (BJS) in RSS leadership, Upadhyay had joined the party. He was made the party General Secretary.
