Chief Minister, Mrs. Vasundhara Raje said that the Central River Project is a landmark project of the state Government . The ambitious project to revive the Dravyavati river, which took the form of dirty drain will be completed by August 15, 2018. Mrs. Raje was addressing the review meeting of the project at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday. She said that this project will emerge as a dream project in the country. With the help of World class experts in the direction of TATA projects, 170 MLD sewerage treatment plant, walk way, jogging park, Eco Park, sitting area, check dam etc will be made to clean dirty water so that the glory will return which river lost it before.

Resolve problems in a speedy manner

The Chief Minister said that the obstacles coming in the path of the Dravyavati Project should be removed first on priority. “The necessary environmental approval for the second phase of the project must be completed soon,” said CM Raje. She instructed the Chief Secretary to interact with the Army Officers to speed up the work of riverfront near the military area.

Singapore’s Botanical Garden to be replicated in Rajasthan

Mrs. Raje said that the parks under this project have been developed on the lines of World famous gardens such as the Botanical garden of Singapore with a view point of local ecology and climatic plantation. For this advice must be taken from World class experts of landscaping.

In the meeting, Mr. Vinayak K. Deshpande , MD of Tata Projects conveyed the progress of the river project so far, also convinced that according to the Chief Minister’s intention of beautification of river and river front development work both will be completed in the stipulated time frame. He said that different work including finance, stone pitching, sewerage treatment plant, concrete lining, sewer pipes, storage check dam etc are being completed in various phases.
