With the aim to honour the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Rajasthan government is planning to develop a model Atal Seva Kendra. This model Kendra will work as a living memorial to Vajpayee. Former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihar Vajpayee passed away on 16th August at the age of 93. Know more.

There are almost 10,000 Atal Seva Kendras (earlier called Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendras) in Rajasthan at village panchayat and panchayat samiti levels. These seva kendras provide public utility services to rural people. There are 33 Atal Suvidha Kendras at district level.

Utility of Atal Seva Kendra
This Kendra will provide public utility e-service facilities to state’s citizens. This will also house literature, information and other objects related to the late Prime Minister’s life. Recently, the services like Aadhar card, PAN card, utility bill payments, ration cards and other government-to-public services are provided here.

On Atal Seva Kendra, Rajendra Rathore said that these kendras will keep Atalji remain alive through villages and panchayats. He further added that by making Atal Seva Kendras as the most efficient public service centres, Atalji will be immortalized. Government also plans to improve the services provided by these centres presently. Although the location for the centre is not decided, it should be near Jaipur.
