As a part of major bureaucratic reshuffle in the state, the Rajasthan government has transferred 77 IAS officers on Friday.

IAS officer A Mukhopadhaya has been transferred as chairman, Rajasthan Housing Board to chairman, Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal.

Additional chief secretary (ACS) Rajhans Upadhya will be posted at the higher and Sanskrit education department along with coordination, school and Sanskrit education department.

Major reshuffling also took place in the civic body Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC).  After serving for one year, Comissioner Hemant Gera has been sacked out from the post. Gera has been replaced by Ravi Jain who was earlier the director, social justice and empowerment.

In Jaipur Development Authority, Purushottam Biyani, secretary has now been replaced by 2011 batch IAS officer Haulianlal Guite.

District collectors in Bikaner, Bhilwara, Jalore, Sikar, Kota, Dungarpur, Jaisalmer, Jhunjhunu, Udaipur, Barmer, Bundi, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Alwar, Rajsamand and Pali have also been transferred.

Superintendents of Police in 17 districts and Indian Police Services (IPS) officers posted in Jaipur and Jodhpur police commissioners have also been shifted to other locations. These superintendents were given an intimation to transfer, post the decision of major reshuffling.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel, Additional District Generals of Police Sunil Kumar Mehrotra, DS Dinkar, Ravi Prakash Meherda; Inspector Generals of Police Sanjib Kumar Narzary and S Sengathir; Deputy Inspector Generals of Police BL Meena, Hari Prasad Sharma and Mahesh Kumar Goyal are among the 49 IPS officers who have been replaced.

Reportedly, after the meeting decision was announced and implemented, 49 IPS officers in total  have been replaced.
