Wildlife is no doubt an interesting field. People from different parts of the country and world come to the beautiful state of Rajasthan to witness the amazing, attractive and some very unique species of animals and birds. Rajasthan is rich with flora and fauna and thus the wildlife has become one of the most important parts when it comes to tourism for the state.

We have always looked upon wildlife from the perspective of gazing at animals from a distance, visiting various wildlife sanctuaries and witnessing the adorable, fearless animals. But what if we tell you that the state government of Rajasthan is giving an opportunity to all the wildlife lovers to intern with the forest department? Don’t believe us? Read here what the Chief Wildlife Warden, GV Reddy has to say about this, “”These are paid internships, which offer some Rs 25,000 or so a month. The purpose of this effort is to attract young people interested in the science of wildlife conservation and to feed into the scientific practices already undertaken by the state.”

Now we are talking, aren’t we? Well, if you are wondering what the internships would be all about, let us tell you that the forest department of Rajasthan is offering paid internships to students and scholars for undertaking work in wildlife conservation. This is not the first time that the forest department is doing something like this; such a programme has been conducted last year too. The hunt for interns willing to take up surveys to estimate populations of animals and birds and study the impact of management practices has now begun for the year 2016.

The students not only have a choice of subject as mentioned on the website,  but also the choice of time they want the internship to continue, like from a month to almost 2 years. Not only this, the students are also given the option to suggest a topic/subject, apart from those already mentioned on the website, that they would like to deal with or study about and it will be considered by the forest department.

Enrol now people; don’t miss this golden opportunity of doing something this amazing.
