Rajasthan Government Sector and Zone Planning

Rajasthan State Government has started the process of drafting plans for the zones and sectors for six cities of the state. Informing the Rajasthan High Court about the same, the government has handed over a schedule to the development authorities of six cities and the project that has to be accomplished in 6 months.

The six cities in question include Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, and Bikaner. The court had earlier direct the authorities to remove the unauthorized colonies and draft zonal and sector plans in these cities.

In the proceedings, Additional Advocate General Rajesh Panwar produced the compliance reports on the master plans in the concerned cities. He also assured that the encroachments have been removed and produced pieces of evidence for the same.

People have encroached roads with various properties that has to be removed. For this, the High Court has strictly directed the government to remove the illegally constructed houses and shops. The zones and sectors scheduled under the master plan of the Rajasthan State Government are reported to be completed soon.

Moreover, the real estate developers CREDAI Rajasthan also moved an application seeking modification on the court’s directions regarding Rajasthan government’s stand towards their projects. However, the court refused to provide any relief to the body stating that the directions were already quite clear and needed no further changes. The net hearing will take place on November 18.
