Since Navratri festivities were observed and owing to the upcoming elections as well, the deployment of cops has been increased in public areas. Newly established Abhay Command Centers has become their new apparatus.

As the people, going out for shopping and other works, are under threats. Administration increased the deployment, especially in major towns and cities of the state.

Police on the toe in the major cities

Every year during this time, the Rajasthan police department increases the force on the ground. Due to several political issues, internal security problems and even external security-related issues can emerge. In addition, there is a constant threat that some banned terror outfit or some terrorist might carry out an act can harm people.

During festival time, people come out of their houses and celebrate the occasion and thus places with high footfall automatically become a target of such forces. Who can forget the tragic serial blasts rocked Jaipur in 2008? Thus there is always that threat of terrorists planning such a strike again.

CCTV cameras, deployment of additional forces in crowded spots, routine checks of inns, small hotels and Dharamshalas, development of ground intel, coordination over Intel with the central intelligence agencies are a host of work that the police carries out to make sure that the people are safe.

In addition to the men in uniform, police will deploy cops in general clothes also so that they can mix in with the crowd easily. Live CCTV footage is also continuously checked through the Abhay Command centers. These advanced centers are providing a sharp surveillance in the state.
