Previous Vasundhara Raje government recorded many firsts and tops in five years. Now the government data shows that Rajasthan witness highest pace in national highway construction among states during the first four years of Narendra Modi government in the center.

Former CM of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje

According to the report, More than 4,116 Km of National Highway have been constructed between years 2014 to 2018. Maharashtra state comes on number second in terms of highest pace of NH construction with 2,544 km. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded maximum expenditure of highways.

An analysis of the data compiled by the road transport and highways ministry shows that the pace of highway construction and widening during the BJP government stood over 28,500 km till March 2018, which was about 40% more than what the UPA had built between 2009 and 2013. According to the highway ministry, the gap will be bigger when the current financial year ends in March 2019. The year will show more leap in the data as the central government allocated a heavy budget for the national highway construction.

Rajasthan on the highway of records and achievements

The pace of national highway construction has been one of the major achievements of the Vasundhara Raje government so far. Not only highways but also Gramin Gaurav path construction was also achieved under previous BJP government like never before.

Vasundhara Raje government made Rajasthan rank second on digital education after Karnataka. Girl child education had been recorded highest under the previous government. Solar energy, clean cities, cleanest railway station, and many other records are the feathers in the cap.

After all, some of the remote areas of the nation still lack basic infrastructure like road and highway, even after 71 years of independence. It can be calculated that if the UPA government, who has ruled for more than 50 years, would have shown such pace in the development, India could have become a developed country by now.
