Rajasthan Heritage Week has come back with its third edition. It is a three day event in Jaipur to be held from 7-10 December. This event targets to promote the heritage textiles of Rajasthan. This event will showcase a new face of ‘fabric of freedom’. National award-winning weavers, printers and dyers would also showcase their work.

In this event, internationally-renowned designers Bibi Russell will be participating too. She has been invited by CM Vasundhara Raje to Jaipur to share her ideas with local artisans of Rajasthan. Bibi Russell contributed a lot in revival of handwoven textiles in Bangladesh.

What Mr. Rajpal Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Industries, Rajasthan said
Mr. Shekhawat said that Rajasthan values and promote the textiles and crafts of our Rajasthan’s culture. As this is centuries old art of Rajasthan so effort are made to promote artisans and craftsmen who are working on this tradition of beauty and excellence. He also promised to provide more platforms to highlight unique textiles, art and craft. He also added that it is duty of Rajasthan to work on the development of agricultural & artisanal population, weavers, printers and dyers of Rajasthan.
