Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje is busy in Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra. Her chariot is in the fifth phase of yatra. This time, the yatra is going in Jaipur division. CM Raje started this phase from Dausa on 19th September. While addressing the people, she talked about Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project. It will quench the thirst of people of Dausa district.

Rajasthan CM said about the project that once this project started, drinking and irrigation water would be available in 13 districts of the state. Dausa is one of these districts. For this 13000 crore plan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the state. CM Raje thanked PM for this and said that the central water commission has given the approval for the project.

When PM had come to Jaipur on 7th July for Jan Samvad and addressed the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes then he assured about considering the project.

Other highlights from Dausa yatra
CM Raje said that BJP government made a law for capital punishment on raping girls of 12 years or below. Apart from that, government has waived off loans up to Rs 50,000 for farmers and the state has been empowered with electricity.

Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project
Envisaged on the lines of the Indira Gandhi Canal in western Rajasthan, water of Chambal River will be supplied to 13 parched districts of east Rajasthan. This project proposes to make use of the excess water from Chambal River which is at present being wasted. The project covers districts like Sawai Madhopur, Alwar, Dausa, Karauli, Alwar, Ajmer, Tonk, Jhalawar, Kota, Dholpur, Bara, Bundi, Jaipur and Bharatpur.
