Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje embarked Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra on 4th August. This yatra was started from Charbhuja Nath temple at Rajsamand. This yatra of CM Raje has been moving successfully across Rajasthan. It will cover 165 out of 200 constituencies. From last three days, CM Raje was in Banswara and now she will go to Pratapgarh. Today, she will address three public rally. But, Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra could be interrupted by gurjjar community. Know more.

To get their demands of fulfilled, gurjars have planned to protest. They are upset with the BJP government and unhappy of not getting demanded quota of reservation. Gurjar Samaj is seeking five percent reservation under OBC by classifying it. Taking advantage of the situation, Gurjar community will protest Vasundhara Raje’s Rajasthan Gaurav yatra.

Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla over protest
Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla, the leader of the reservation movement, said that the government is not implementing the agreements with Gurjar society. This protest will be held at various places- Dausa, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur. This decision has been taken in the meeting of the core committee formed for Gurjar reservation.

Bainsla added that the community is furious as government didn’t comply with agreement done on May 19, 2018. The core committee meeting of Gujjar leaders expressed great resentment over it. This agitation will be a warning to the Chief Minister.

Gurjar Agitation
Gurjar agitation is aimed at getting five per cent reservation in government jobs and education institutions in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Assembly passed the bill to increase OBC quota from 21 to 26 percent but later High Court put a stay on it. Hence, gurjars demanded to classify OBC.
