Anubhuti, Chitrakshi and Jaya Scripted a Rare Story of Success in the Rajasthan Judicial Services Exam.

From a state that witnessed mass homicides under ‘Sati Pratha’ (funeral custom wherein a widow immolates herself on her dead husband’s pyre) and ‘Bhroon Hatya’ (female foeticide), Rajasthan has steadily progressed towards a stable sex ratio. With a brand new ratio of 926 females per 1000 males, today, the state basks in the accomplishments of sagacious daughters. It’s a matter of pride for Rajasthan as the daughters have set a rare milestone of success in the Rajasthan Judicial Services 2016 exam. The results of this competitive examination were announced yesterday (November 15, Tuesday). It’s good to know that top three spots were covered by talented daughters of the state.

Meet the Toppers of RJS 2016

  • Anubhuti Mishra of Bikaner secured first rank in the exam by scoring total 194 of 335 marks. This was her second attempt. An ex-law student from JNU (Jaipur National University) is the first in her family to pursue a career in legal services. “My father and grandfather always wanted to see me as a judge. This made me aspire to be a legal luminary“, she said.
  • 1 is definitely not a lucky number for Chitrakshi Singh of Bharatpur who secured second position with 193 marks. Last year she missed the merit list by one mark and this year she lost the rank to topper Anubhuti by a mark. Nevertheless, she’s full of cheers and hope for her future. Chitrakshi, who has been actively promoting various social causes told TOI, “This is an exclusive area where I can make my mark by delivering timely justice. I am aware that a judge has to follow certain protocols, and I am ready to make any sacrifice for a bigger cause“. In past, she had volunteered for School Bharo Campaign in Jaipur, wherein she tried convincing lower-middle class and deprived families to send their kids to school.
  • Jaya Chaturvedi of Jaipur stood third in the exam but she was unavailable for a public interview.

We congratulate all the meritorious students and wish them good luck for their future endeavors.
