Tarun Sagar Vasundhara Raje

Today, India is mourning as the renowned saint of Jain community Tarun Sagar died after a prolonged illness. He was the saint whose teachings have inspired many and will continue to inspire lots of lives. His sudden death made his followers extremely upset. At Radhapuri Jain temple situated in Krishna Nagar area of east Delhi, Tarun Sagar took his last breathe. Rajasthan CM expressed her grief on the death of this great monk.

She tweeted that the nation is mourning over the demise of Jain saint, who was popular for his harsh words (‘kadve pravachan’). India has lost a great saint. CM Raje felt fortunate that saint had stayed her place and blessed her during his Jaipur visit. She pays her heartfelt tribute to him.

Tarun Sagar
Jain Muni Tarun Sagar died at the age of 51. He was born on June 26, 1967 in Madhya Pradesh’s Dahoh district. Born as Pawan Kumar Jain, Tarun Sagar left his home on March 8, 1981 to accept celibacy and lead a life of a Muni (monk). Jain saint had a massive following. He was suffering from jaundice and was admitted to hospital almost a month back. As his health failed to improve so he was brought back to temple. He had done ‘Santhara’ – the Jain ritual of fast unto death.
