As President of India, Ram Nath Kovind made his first visit to Rajasthan. He and his wife arrived in a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) at the Sanganer airport of Jaipur. On 13th May and launched three schemes of the state government. The event was held at Birla Auditorium. In this, three schemes namely Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Antyoday Swarojgar Yojana, Sundar Singh Bhandari EBC (economically backward class) Swarojgar Yojana and Rin Mafi Yojna were launched.

Know the details of the schemes
These schemes are basically for loan waiver for all the classes of the society. 50,000 ST/SC/ OBC and MBC families will be given loans of up to Rs 50,000 on 4% cent interest under the Bhairon Singh yojana while under the Sundar Singh Bhandari yojana, 50,000 economically backward families of the general category will be given a loan of Rs 50,000 on 4% interest. President also launched Rin Mafi Yojna of up to Rs 50,000 to SC, ST, OBC, sweepers and ‘divyang’.

President applauds state
He also appreciated Rajasthan and its soil. He said that the state has produced great fighters like Prithvi Raj Chauhan, Rana Sanga, Maharana Pratap to Param Vir Chakra Major Shaitan Singh. In fact, he was happy to see that Rajasthan has named many of its schemes after Bhamashah and Panna Dai. He also mentioned the contribution of the state in the construction of Rashtrapati Bhavan. Assembly speaker Kailash Meghwal, state Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria and city mayor Ashok Lahoti were among others present during the occasion.

On Monday, the president is on Ajmer visit where he visits Pushkar and dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.
