To add more colours to beauty of Nahargah Fort, Madhavendra Palace will now be made into an art gallery housing the artworks by 15 Indian as well as 6 international artists. This is another addition at Nahargarh after few days of putting wax museum there. Opening a Sculpture Park at Madhavendra Palace in Nahargarh Fort will encourage the Government to support contemporary art in India.

Details about Sculpture Park at Nahargarh Fort
Basically, this art gallery is a sculpture park. Here, the sculptures by top Indian and international artists are displayed both in and outdoors. The exhibition is curated by Peter Nagy, director of Nature Morte Art Ltd. For this project, the department of archeology, Rajasthan government and Saat Saath Arts Foundation joined hands. Saat Saath Arts Foundation works for promoting international exchange of visual arts and education initiatives between India and the world.

Who are the artists?
The artists are Arman, Huma Bhabha, Astha Butail, James Brown, Anita Dube, Vibha Galhotra, Subodh Gupta, Gyan Panchal, Prashant Pandey, Benitha Perciyal, Thukral & Tagra, LN Tallur, Ravinder Reddy, Evan Holloway, Jitish Kallat, Reena Kallat, Bharti Kher, Mrinalini Mukherjee, Manish Nai, Asim Waqif, and Arlene Shechet.

CM Vasundhara Raje said, “I believe art in its many forms, embraces and connects people from across continents and am therefore delighted that the ‘Sculpture Park’ at Nahargarh fort, will be the first permanent international art space in Rajasthan drawing people from far flung parts of our state, the Indian sub-continent as well as from across the world, bringing them together to share and celebrate diverse international creative expressions.”
