The southwest monsoons have entered Rajasthan, and finally, the state has started receiving heavy rains from the past one week, giving people a respite from the scorching heat.

The state is likely to cover the entire state in the next few days including BARMER, KOTA, UDAIPUR, PILANI, CHURU, SAWAIMADHOPUR, CHITTORGARH, and JAIPUR

. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, Barmer received 64 mm of rain followed by 42 mm of rain in Mount Abu. Other areas to have received good rains include Pilani 26 mm, Udaipur 23 mm, Phalodi 14 mm, Churu 6 mm and Pali 4 mm.

The department has predicted thunderstorm with light to moderate rains in areas like  JAIPUR, ALWAR, BHARATPUR, DAUSA, SIKAR, AJMER, CHURU, JHUNJHUNU, NAGAUR AND SAWAIMADHOPUR district over the next few hours.

Such weather conditions are due to the low-pressure area over Kutch and adjoining Rajasthan. A trough is also extending to East Assam across South of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. This system is likely to weaken during the next 24 hours due to which a cyclonic circulation is expected over South Rajasthan that will move toward northeastwards.

Apart from this, moderate southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea are prevailing over Rajasthan. Thus rain and thundershowers are expected to continue during the next 24 hours, according to the weather department.

Also in the month of June, excess rainfall has been recorded by both divisions of the state.

Jaipur has received sporadic rainfall and hot and humid conditions prevail in the state causing sweltering.

So let the rain kiss you, let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.

Enjoy the monsoons!!
