Quite recently, Union Minister for State, Jitendra Singh said that the decision of mega-cash clean-up has been remarkable decision . He was convinced to say that the outcome of the decision will be assessed by 125 crore people of India.

“It needs courage and conviction to take such measures. No other person could have done this. The Opposition is annoyed because PM is getting all the credit and support of the people,” the minister remarked.

While observing the innovations in ‘Citizen Centric Services Delivery, the minister also spelled out the number of states which didn’t adopt reforms initiated by the Central Government.

“Let the people decide,” said Singh reaffirming that people are ready to embrace the demonetisation move, despite all the hardships and difficulties faced by them.

Singh tactfully conveyed to the masses that some  governments have not been doing work in consonance with the reforms. The minister, without directly pointing out the name of specific governments and taking a common viewpoint, said the move is in the interest of the country.

The Union Minister further added, “In the interest of good governance, more accountability, states should follow these norms and guidelines laid by the department of personnel and training and administrative reforms. These are in the interest of the government.”

He reiterated that the opposition raising voices because of the frustration of their own inability to take this radical move.

Highlighting the innovative practices started by the Central government, the minister claimed, “One of the reforms close to the heart of PM was to abolish interviews, from junior postings. Within three months, most of the interviews in Central ministries were stopped. We could now provide a level playing field for every job seeker coming from any social level.”

On showing his discontentment with some governments, Singh reclaimed that governments had applied in a topsy-turvy fashion i.e. just the reverse of how it was expected out of them.
