A Kota organsiation has taken the onus of treating injured birds with instant aid. The organisation has built a centre for helping injured birds.

The organisation is a group of bird lovers residing in Kota disrict of Rajasthan.

The centre has been founded and created by Manoj Jain Adinath who had spent a sum of Rs 4 lakh for the purpose. He has also found a help portal named “Human Helpline” which saves lives of birds by providing timely aid, especially during the kite-flying season.

“Birds are generally injured after falling off nests on trees and high-rise buildings, and getting stuck in kite strings and shutters of the shops; sometimes they are bitten by animals and left unattended,” Jain said.

The centre has been built in the Dadabari area in Kota with the objective of rescuing injured birds.

The idea of setting up a bird-rescue centre popped up in Adinath’s head when “Human Helpline” started receiving multiple calls for curing birds. Not only Adninath, a couple of other bird lovers have joined the league. Bheem Singh Sisodia, Ajit Singh and Waseem Ahmad are amongst others who are associated with this project.

“Special cages in the form of wards have been made for injured birds at the centre for treatment and post-operative care,” said Ajit Singh.

“Environment conservation and developing love among people for living creatures, including birds, is the main aim of the centre,” he added.

Even in the absence of the doctor, nurses are known to the various methods of curing birds. They also know how to apply stitches and cure birds.
