Jaipur boy Monark Sharma makes the city proud by joining the US Army with an annual package of 1.20 crore. Monark Sharma has been appointed as scientist in the AH-64E combat fighter helicopter unit of the US army.

Monark Sharma joined the US Army in May 2016, before which he was working with NASA as junior research scientist in the mass communication vertical.

Not much time had passed, that Monark Sharma started getting appreciation for his brilliant work in designing and research operations. Monark Sharma was also felicitated with two prestigious awards Army Service Medal and Safety Excellence Award both in 2016.

His role includes designing, inspection, manufacturing and maintenance of the fighter copters which was inducted in the US army this year.

“I may not have got the opportunity to serve in the Indian armed force but all my moves in the US were intended to bring pride for my country. Here I am reaching out to my fellow Indian students to inspire them that anyone can attain success in life with sheer hard work,” Monark spelled out.

Son of a government employee, Monark Sharma is an alumni of Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain School in C Scheme, Jaipur. He pursued bachelors in electronics and communication from Jaipur National University, Jaipur. He is currently lecturing young students and scholars about leadership and success.

From where did it all begin for Monark Sharma?

Given that Monark Sharma worked relentlessly hard toward achieving his dreams, he enrolled for the NASA’s Moon Baggi Project in 2011 and Luna Boat in 2012. Participation in these projects led to emergence of unprecedented opportunities for Monark.

In the Moon Baggi project, the team headed by Monark bagged the best performance award. In the Luna Boat project, Monark stood fifth amongst many competitors across the globe.

“Here NASA offered me a job and a green card. He was awarded citizenship through US army in 2016,” Sharma informed. Monark is really a peerless individual who is making not only Jaipur but the entire nation proud of him.
