In Rajasthan, Jaipur International Airport has been facilitated with many new domestic and international flights. The footfall has been considerably increased at Jaipur airport. This has cramped the easy movement for passengers. Thus, the Airport Authority of India is now thinking to have distinguished terminals for domestic and international tourists. This thing is taken into consideration to decongest Terminal 2 of the Jaipur airport.
As per the plans, Terminal 1 of Jaipur airport will cater only to international arrivals and departures. For domestic travelers, Terminal 2 will be used. There are also plans to expand the Jaipur International Airport in upcoming years.

In interview to one of the prestigious news houses, Jaideep Singh Balhara, said “In the long run, this kind of separation is needed as passenger footfalls are increasing by the year. As per plan, Terminal 2 will serve domestic travellers while Terminal 1, which is the main Sanganer airport, will handle international passengers.”

Situated at the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur International Airport was granted the status of international airport on 29 December 2005. This airport is located at the suburbs of Sanganer. According to Airports Council International, this airport was considered to be in the list of bets airports of the world.
