Jaipur-Bangkok direct flight

Travelling to Thailand will be much easier now. Thai Sime Airways is set to start direct flights between Jaipur and Bangkok from November 16 this year.

According to IsraStapanaseth, director, Tourism Authority of Thailand, New Delhi, this four hour flight will also encourage in-bound and outbound tourism between the two states.

India is an emerging market for trade and tourism for other countries. Thailand, being a popular travel destination will benefit from India in the form of leisure trips, film shoots and MICE activities. “Thailand provides everything for all segments. Last year, more than 1 million Indian tourists visited the country registering a growth of 14.5%. We expect a similar growth this year as well,” added Stapanaseth.

Bangkok is also a jewellery hub for the Indian merchants and jewellers of the Pink City, providing them with various trading opportunities. Earlier this month, Singapore Airlines Grouparm Scoot to start flights between Jaipur and Singapore three-days a week.

“We are targeting to connect tier-II and tier-II cities of India with the tier-II and tier-III cities of Thailand. The flight to Jaipur will also attract visitors from nearby cities like Jodhpur, Bikaner, Alwar, Ajmer, etc,” Stapanaseth further added.

The new segments of women, senior citizens, and bachelors venturing out to Thailand are also growing in number.
