At Jaipur Architecture Festival 2017, Rajasthan looks forward to the inauguration of India Stone Mart 2017– the country’s biggest global platform showcasing the real ‘gems’ of Indian stone industry.
Being the largest producer of raw stone material, Rajasthan boasts a wide spectrum of dimensional stones, scattered across its 33 districts. - Indian Stone Mart 2017
Indian Stone Mart is the largest global exposition on the stone industry that promotes ancillary products, natural dimensional stones, stonework and related services. It was inaugurated by Rajasthan Industries Minister Mr Rajpal Singh Shekhawat today.
What can you expect at Stone Mart? Stone exhibition by 460 exhibitors across from 11 countries.
- Interactive sessions by JAF 2017 Speakers
This year, we’ll see popular faces like Srdijan J. Weiss and Martha Thorne from the US, Beatrice Leanza (China), Assel Mukhasheva (Kazakhstan), Huang Sheng Yuan (Taiwan) and many other artists from Paraguay, Bangladesh, Malaysia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Nepal and India.
- RBSM- Reverse Buyer Seller Meet
This event is concurrently organised by the Ministry of Commerce where over 1500 overseas visitors and 262 buyers from 60 countries can register and participate in the fair.
- Shilpgram
Shilpgram is a special pavilion featuring stone artists of India for showcasing their skills and products to the international community. It’ll help them build strong links with overseas buyers and provided them with the necessary exposure. This year, we can see 30 artisans at Shilpgram.
- Tools for Diamond Cutting/Polishing
A separate pavilion has been allotted to Diamond Tool Manufacturers where they can display heavy earthmoving machinery and stone cutting tools for managing diamonds.
- All India Stone Architectural Awards (AISSA)
The 8th AISAA will be organised in Jaipur today to honour creative ideas and excellence of architects who’ve delivered outstanding projects involving the use of natural stones in India.
