The International Yoga Day is around the corner and there are more reasons to celebrate this than one. From increasing rate of yoga-practisers in the country to the paradigm inclination of youth towards ‘yoga asanas’ for leading a healthy lifestyle mirror the importance of yoga in every human being’s life.

To celebrate the day in a grand manner, as many as nine grounds of Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Stadium will be prepared for exercising ‘yoga asanas’.

Over 40,000 enthusiasts are likely to take part in the yoga event which will be conducted on June 21, the International Yoga Day.

Yoga enthusiasts will be seen practicing their favorite asanas on their yoga mat while sports freaks will exercise to the core at the SMS Stadium.

The grounds of hockey, archery, cricket, football, handball, athletics, and kho-kho will be fully occupied on the D-day.

Health Minister Kali Charan Saraf took part in the rehearsals of the event and also inspected the grounds.

Entry at SMS Stadium will be from three sides — Tonk Road, Bhawani Singh Road, and Vidhan Sabha Bhawan Marg.

The yoga enthusiasts will start at 5 am and continue till evening. To ensure the convenience of the people, proper parking arrangements have been made at the SMS Investment Ground and Amroodon Ka Bagh.

Additionally, arrangements for LED screens, mikes, drinking water, ambulances, medical facilities, etc have also been made.

As many as 51 stages have been set up at the stadium for instructors to teach all participants.

Participants should not eat anything before coming at the event to do Yoga. He also instructed people to wear loose clothes for full comfort, Chief yoga instructor Kulbhushan Bairathi said.

Moreover, he said that the patients suffering from heart cardiovascular diseases should avoid from taking part in the yoga event. Children too, should not part in yoga, he added.
