To benefit the MSME sector, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Government of India invited PHD Chamber to hold a training campaign. On 20th September, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a training programme on Government e-marketplace for MSME sector in Jaipur. Know more.

Objective behind training program
There are few objectives behind this training program. This includes increasing awareness and active participation by MSME industry in government procurement. It also aims at facilitating trade between the government, industry and entrepreneurs. Supporting in registration of MSMEs on GeM Portal is also the objective of this training program held by PHD Chamber.

Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. With this MoU, MSME members and the Government established a collaborative approach for facilitating supply of goods and services under the Government procurement program.

Details of Training
The training was conducted by an official from e-market unit of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. During the training, the trainer shared information on the government e-marketplace. During the session, the knowledge of several aspects about the government e-marketplace, registration process for Gem 3.0, government e-marketplaces, the procurement process of government e-marketplaces, financial rules, and the specific terms and conditions of the government e-marketplace were shared.
