Well, after the entire buzz that was created by the state for welcoming the IPL (Indian Premier League) matched back in the Rajasthan, the state government have now faced another obstacle in their way to actually make this happen in real.

After BCCI (Board of Cricket Council of India) officials and Mumbai India team members visited the state to seek permission over organising Mumbai Indians’ IPL matches in the state as the Maharashtra High Court ordered that no matches could be played in the state after the drought-like conditions, the Rajasthan Government agreed for the matches to be organised in the Sawai man Singh stadium in the Pink City.  The twist in the story comes here. Rajasthan High Court has now allegedly asked the state government to justify the permission given despite of the 19 districts in the state facing water scarcity and drought-plagued conditions.

High court had asked the state government to reply by 27th of April, 2016. Well the other two options that were given to Mumbai Indians’ team to select from were Nagpur and Raipur and the team selected Jaipur as their alternative home ground.
