prithviraj nagar jaipur

JAIPUR: There are a lot of developments in Jaipur. Be it the recent reshuffling of cabinet members or One-day NH7 Weekender Music Festival.  Amidst, all the frenzy sustaining in the city, here is a good news for the PRN residents. Residents of colonies in Prithvi Raj Nagar (PRN) scheme will soon become rightful owners of their property after the state government decides to relax the norms for regularizing colonies.

As per the parameter fixed by the government, a house in a colony must have at least one room, kitchen and a toilet. The government’s decision is with regard to colonies that have completed housing in at least 10% of the area. As per the earlier norm, a colony should have completed construction in 40% of the area for being considered for regularization.

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) had recently sought directions from the urban development and housing (UDH) department. To expedite the regularisation process, related rules have been revise by the UDH department. Reportedly, the notification of the new rules will be issued soon.

The UDH department will soon issue notice and provide three months to housing cooperative societies to submit documents for regularization, an official said.Likewise, housing colonies(under PRN scheme) developed on government land will be regularised on normal price.

An official reported, “The regularisation of colonies developed on pasture and government land in the PRN scheme has been pending for long. In a recent meeting, chaired by the UDH minister Rajpal Singh, a decision was taken to provide relaxation to these colonies.”

According to the statement of UDH minister Rajpal Singh, JDA will also start accepting the records of colonies. These colonies will categorically fall under the PRN scheme.

Many housing societies failed to deposit records before the previous deadline, following which, owners had faced difficulties to possess lease deeds of their plots.

Unfortunately, the colonies, which have developed less than 10% of the area, will not be considered for regularisation as per normal prices.
