Jaipur will Host the Screening of over 40 movies and 3 Cool Workshops in the Coming 3 days.

CSFI Chairperson and veteran actor Mukhesh Khanna, who has charmed the entire 90’s generation in his ‘Shaktiman’ avatar expressed his sorrow over availability of limited options for kids in Indian cinema. After producing biggies like ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Baahubali’, ‘Makdee’ and ‘Stanley ka Dabba’, Bollywood seems to have lost its lustre to daily soaps, reality television and aggressive cartoon characters. It’s sad that today’s children do not have quality content on TVs and big screens. To expose children to good, value-based entertainment, CFSI (Children’s Film Society of India) will organize the second round of 3-day NCFF (National Children’s Film Festival) at ‘Pink City’ Jaipur, on the occasion of Children’s Day today.

Based on ‘Make in India’ theme, the fest aims to use cinema, as a powerful medium to nurture creativity and awareness in young minds. Jaipur, being a colourful cultural city will attract the tiny tots with its beautiful handicrafts, vibrant costumes, striking panorama, amusing puppets, perky dance moves and good music, as per Khanna.

Programme List & Inauguration Details

The globally acclaimed film fiesta was inaugurated at Birla Auditorium, with a special screening of Ram Choyal’s ‘Gauru’- a traditional movie portraying Rajasthan’s rural background. To wrap it up, toddlers are going to experience 3 days packed with fun, films and entertainment. Actors like Irfan Khan, who’re here to support this cause feel, “Globally, there is a huge focus on content for children but there’s a significant gap we have for this content in India”. The actor feels CFSI’s efforts will encourage filmmakers to produce more content for younger audience. Also, children will get glimpses of real life, as depicted in the biopic and documentaries.
