Rajasthan State Government has announced lately that more Vidhyarthi Mitras will be appointed throughout the state at various multi tasking working posts. To appoint over 24000 Vidhyarthi Mitras in the state, the government is creating around 27000 posts in various districts and regions. The recruitments will be done through interviews at the Gram Panchayat Level in various districts and villages. Salary given to these new recruiters will have a burden of almost 200 crore rupees but this amount will not be given by the Rajasthan state government. The amount will be extracted from the amount that is provided by the central and state finance departments to the Gram Panchayats for the welfare and developmental work.
A week ago, after getting the green signal from the chief minister’s office, it was referred to the Department of Finance. According to sources, the entire exercise to accommodate Vidhyarthi Mitras has been completed in less than a month. All the practices are directly monitored from the Chief Minister’s Office. The state government to fulfill its election promises has given the load of the education department to the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. The money that was initially provided for the development will now be used for salaries in the state.
There are total 9894 Gram Panchayat in the state of Rajasthan in which currently there are approx 15 thousand Gram Sevaks and other employees. And now there will be approximately 23000 employees here. These appointments are made for one year and then discussions over expanding the office will be conducted.
The decision of appointing Vidhyarthi Mitras at various multi tasking posts in the states through interviews at the district levels and Gram Panchayat level has been taken after several complaints from the Vidhyarthi Mitras from all around the state regarding employment issues. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, with this step has again proved that come what may, she was, she is and she will always be the people’s leader and a great politician.
